Dissolution IPA

Brewed in memory of the dissolution of Kirkstall Abbey by Henry Vlll, in 1539 AD, and the disbanding of the Abbey’s Cistercian order. This is a classic India Pale Ale, with a resolute hoppy kick and lasting citrus finish.

Black Band

In celebration of Kirkstall Forge, the oldest forge in England and named after the giant press that was at the heart of the operation. A full bodied yet beautifully smooth dark porter. Perfectly balanced.

Kirkstall Pale Ale

This is our classic ale and one that was born out of our quest for uncompromising quality. A wonderfully golden session ale with fresh malt and hop aroma, leading to a satisfying bitter finish.

Black Abbey

Around 1200 AD the monks of Kirkstall Abbey built a grange in the diocese of Accrington, as a result, three monks were murdered and the grange was burnt down. This rich, burnt malt porter, with hoppy notes, bears testament to the sad event.

Three swords

The name is derived from the coat of arms used by the Cistercian monks of Kirkstall Abbey. Three American hop varieties are used in abundance to deliver a crisp, aromatic pale ale with clean and refreshing citrus-fruit flavours.

Session IPA packed with simcoe hops.

Brudenell IPA

Amarillo at the fore front of this IPA, complimented by Citra, Mosaic and Azzacca hops. With a dry finish and low colour malt body it really lets the best of the citrus, pine and tropical fruit flavours from the hops shine.

A hazy, New England syle beer with a punch of fruit flavours; peach, apricots, mango and lychee create a juicy taste from the use of Citra and Amarillo hops. A light pale with a slight bitter finish.

Packed full of Ekuanot and Mosaic hops, this Imperial IPA has aromas of blueberry, pine and tropical fruits that has a smooth finish from the malt base.

Imported beers

We actually started up as the first importers of US craft beers and we have continued to do so!

We’ve also added several of our favourite European breweries to the portfolio and even some of our brewery friends over here in the UK.

One thing our experience with the US industry 15 years ago was the importance of cold storage. Hoppier, unpasteurised beers stored at room temperature can become very unpleasant after a month or so of its 12-month predicted shelf life.

We take care to import all US beers in temperature controlled, refrigerated containers. We also store all UK and European beers from our friends in cold storage too. This means the beer arrives as fresh as it left the brewery – whilst our freshness policy of ordering from breweries ‘little and often’ drives us towards regular deliveries so that the beer arrives in your customer’s glass in peak condition.

We don’t currently sell direct to the public but if you’re a trade customer, please click here to drop us a note and we’ll get back to you asap with details of our current offerings.
